Yes, this is course TDLR APPROVED. Course number C3544.

You have 6 months to complete the online coursework. There is no deadline for completing the behind the wheel portion of the course. 

If you do not complete the online modules within that 6-month time frame, you will have to pay a $40 extension fee.

Yes, you can get 10% off your insurance, if your insurance offers such a discount. 

The permit test is taken after the first module. You will be issued a certificate to be able to go to the DPS to get your permit. Be sure to watch the video following the permit test to know what you need to take to the DPS office to get your permit. 

If there is an issue with your certificate, please text us at 281-923-2593. Make sure to check the information on your certificate before going to the DPS. If you text us to get a certificate corrected while you are at the DPS we will charge you a $25 rush fee. 

Yes, you can use any eligible driver to help be your Instructor by reading this form and following the listed steps. 

There are times when the DPS interprets the law incorrectly or unintentionally gives misinformation. The State allows for the parent to designate an eligible driver to be the instructor when they cannot. The law and requirements are listed below. If you have questions, please call us and we will help guide you through the process. 

Sec. 1001.112.  PARENT-TAUGHT DRIVER EDUCATION.  (a)  A person who is eligible under Subsection (b) may conduct a driver education course approved under Section 1001.1017 for another person who is required to complete a driver education course to obtain a Class C license. In conducting the course, the person must use course materials provided by a parent-taught driver education provider.

(b)  A person is eligible to conduct a driver education course for another person as provided by Subsection (a) if the person:

(1)  is either:

(A)  a parent, stepparent, foster parent, legal guardian, grandparent, or step-grandparent of the other person; or

(B)  an individual who:

(i)  has been designated on a form prescribed by the department for purposes of this section by a parent or legal guardian of the other person or by a judge of a court with jurisdiction over the other person;

(ii)  is at least 25 years of age;

(iii)  does not charge a fee for conducting the course; and

(iv)  has at least seven years of driving experience;

(2)  has possessed a valid license for the preceding three years that has not been suspended, revoked, or forfeited in the past three years for an offense that involves the operation of a motor vehicle;

(3)  has not been convicted of:

(A)  criminally negligent homicide; or

(B)  driving while intoxicated in the past seven years; and

(4)  has not been convicted during the preceding three years of:

(A)  three or more moving violations described by Section 542.304, Transportation Code, including violations that resulted in a collision; or

(B)  two or more moving violations described by Section 542.304, Transportation Code, that resulted in a collision.

No. The purchase price is non-refundable. 

Parents are asked to watch the Parent Meeting Video in the first module and before each certificate that is issued. The student will watch the remainder of the videos and complete the coursework. Parents will need to sign both the permit and driver's license certificates. Parents will choose to do all of the in-car instruction or work with a driving instructor in your area. 

The Parent Meeting Video covers all aspects of what the course entails. We are here to help you through the process of obtaining your student's driver's license. 

 

 

 

DE-964 Certificate

Yes, you can print your certificate off the right from your student portal. We do not charge extra for this like other schools do.  If you have an issue with your certificate, email us at ptdecert@gmail.com.

Yes, you can print it in black and white.

There is no fee for your first certificate. There may be a fee issued if you do not check your certificate for accuracy before going to the DPS. If you call us from the DPS office needing a certificate correction immediately, we may charge a $25 rush service fee.

ITTD (Impact Texas Teen Driver)

Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) is an informational tool (2-hour video) that is designed to educate teens on the dangers of distracted driving.

An ITTD certificate is required by DPS before obtaining a provisional driver license.

The video must be viewed by the student and an ITTD certificate printed.

ONLY WATCH!!!! THIS IS A WEEK OR 2 BEFORE YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THE DRIVING TEST. The ITTD certificate is only valid for 90 Days.
